About Art Therapy

Creative expression is a powerful way to facilitate mental and emotional healing, especially through wellness services like art therapy. This approach provides a safe space for individuals to express themselves when thoughts and feelings may be difficult to express, particularly for those who have experienced trauma. Art therapy allows individuals to focus on the process of making and creating, which can help reduce stress and promote a sense of calm and relaxation.


When creating a piece of art, people often find that it helps them tap into their emotions and memories, gaining valuable insights into their feelings and behaviors. This creative outlet allows for self-reflection and the processing of difficult emotions in a healthy, safe, and artistic way.


Many who engage in regular art sessions not only experience relief from stress and anxiety but also gain a sense of empowerment. The act of creating fosters a sense of accomplishment as individuals learn new techniques and produce something uniquely their own, contributing to their overall natural health.


What to expect: Art therapy is offered as a private session, lasting from 60 to 120 minutes. My role is to provide a warm, comfortable environment where we can enjoy some quality time together while creating. Many people prefer to start with watercolor painting due to its calming nature. I'll prepare the space by putting the kettle on, gathering the supplies, and guiding you through some simple steps to get you started. Creating together often encourages conversation, collaboration, and the sharing of words of encouragement, enhancing the sense of calmness and joy that comes from the artistic process.


I look forward to our time together, focusing on enhancing women's health and well-being through creative expression.
